A mother was arrested in northwest Harris County after leaving her young child unattended in a vehicle. The incident occurred at a Costco store, where the child was found alone inside a parked vehicle. The child, a 4-year-old girl, had been inside the vehicle for about half an hour while the mother was shopping.

Fortunately, witnesses intervened and pulled the child to safety until help arrived. The child was evaluated by emergency medical personnel at the scene and did not require hospitalization. She was later released to another guardian.
